That's the satisfying sound of your sturdy Turing Tumble magnetic box closing in your future. We reached our second stretch goal! This is wonderful!
We added a set of 4 new stretch goals, and it looks as though these will indeed be a stretch:
Stretch goal #3 ($250,000): Sometimes you just need a little extra help. We'll put hints to each of the puzzles online. This is in addition to the solutions that are already in the back of the book.
Stretch goal #4 ($300,000): Four extra red balls and four extra blue balls in every copy. By now, we've probably got a full set of balls hiding under our fridge. And our couch.
Stretch goal #5 ($350,000): Stand upgrade! We'll give the stand adjustable tilt so you can speed up or slow down your computer. Might need to add a CPU cooling fan if you get it going too fast. :)
Stretch goal #6 ($400,000): This is the big one. Can we reach it?
If we can hit this stretch goal, I'll create *9* more puzzles – up to 60!
We'll also make an educator’s version of the puzzle book online, and we'll create a website where you can share your own puzzles/creations.
Thanks again for your enthusiasm and support! We just can't thank you enough.
We have our first two stretch goals!

We’ve spoken with a manufacturer and confirmed our first two stretch goals:
Stretch goal #1: We’ve heard from many of you that with kids at home or in classrooms, it's important to be able to glance at the box and see that all the pieces are accounted for. If total funding reaches $150,000, we'll upgrade our box insert to a vacuum molded insert with shaped holes for the individual parts.
Stretch goal #2: We think it's important that the Turing Tumble box is sturdy enough to stand up to repeated use. Both at home and in a classroom setting. If total funding reaches $200,000, we will upgrade the box to a premium design with a magnetic latch, and we'll make it out of thick cardboard.
We also wanted to let you know that we have an active Facebook page. We post pictures, articles about the game, and other updates over there. We’d love for you all to join us at: http://www.facebook.com/TuringTumble
Tomorrow we will be at the Minneapolis/St. Paul Maker Faire. It's at the State Fairgrounds from 10am-6pm. If you're there, please stop by our booth in the Grandstand, and check out Turing Tumble in person.
Thanks for your continued support! Watch for more stretch goals coming soon.
Fun event on Facebook going on NOW through tomorrow!

Yesterday we topped 2,000+ backers and today we are 400% funded! Holy moly!!
People have asked Paul and I over and over again, "Did you expect this?" Absolutely not! We talked again today about how difficult we thought it would be to reach our original funding goal. We hoped we could start with a run of 800 games, and we currently have pre-orders for 2,200+. It's amazing to see people all over the world back our campaign and get excited about Turing Tumble. We definitely didn't imagine this little moonlighting gig would grow to this scale!
We are
so close to our $200,000 stretch goal.
Check out the event on Facebook and share a 1 minute video about Turing Tumble: Facebook Event
We spent a whole Sunday afternoon getting our voice inflections juuuust right for it. :)
Turing Tumble is now EU-friendly!

Well, to tell you truth, we were always fond of those who live in the EU. But now, if you live in the EU, we cover customs fees, too! We have enough international backers that we can distribute Turing Tumble from several locations worldwide.
Besides the EU, we can also cover VAT at several other international locations. Soon I'll have a list of countries where VAT is covered.
Thanks again for your enthusiasm and support.
Well that was fast.

At midnight last night, we saw Kickstarter awarded us Project of the Day! That means we've been on the front page of Kickstarter all day. We also had a booth at the Minneapolis Maker Faire (which was fantastic!). Together, those things gave us a big boost. We thought it would take at least a few days to reach our first stretch goal, but we ended up hitting it at around 6 pm today. You guys rock!
Just a reminder about what stretch goals are. Stretch goals don't cost anything extra to you and they don't require you to do anything to benefit from them. If we reach the funding requirement for the stretch goal (in this case it was $150,000), then we upgrade the game in a certain way, and we upgrade it for everyone. New and old backers alike. It's a way for us to give back when there's funding beyond what we expected. Since we met the stretch goal today, we're going to upgrade the box so that it has a molded insert with shaped holes for each individual part. The next stretch goal is $200,000. If we reach that, we'll upgrade the box itself, making it out of thicker cardboard and giving it a nice magnetic latch. One way to help us reach those stretch goals is by sharing the project on Facebook, Twitter, your blog, or...anyone you talk to. :)
We're going to spend some more time the next few days trying to figure out how we can lower the cost of shipping to our international backers.
